What’s happening with Adobe Media Server?

Adobe has partnered with Veriskope to provide continued sales, support and training for Adobe Media Server (AMS). Under this relationship, Veriskope will resell AMS and offer support to customers who have purchased AMS from Veriskope, Adobe or any other party.

Who is Veriskope?

Veriskope is a provider of low latency video streaming solutions for the entertainment, broadcast, government, medical and educational industries. The company provides design, support and training services for a variety of on-premise and cloud-based video offerings. Veriskope’s global team has experience in streaming media delivery, application development, and video ecosystems. The company is headquartered in San Rafael, California.

Why did Veriskope and Adobe make this change?

In 2018 Adobe discontinued sales of AMS software and related support and maintenance packages. Several AMS customers asked Adobe for options to purchase additional licenses, extend their current contracts and/or get continued support and maintenance for the product. Adobe partnered with Veriskope to provide these options for these customers.

Who is impacted?

Anyone who has previously purchased AMS or is considering the purchase of AMS in the future is impacted. Going forward, customers who want to purchase AMS and/or support for AMS should contact Veriskope. The exception is existing customers that have AMS Maintenance & Support (M&S) contracts directly with Adobe. Adobe will support those customers through the term of their agreement. Customers that want to alter or renew their M&S contract should contact Veriskope.

What will Veriskope be covering going forward?

Veriskope will resell and distribute AMS in all forms on a worldwide basis, including education and government licenses as well as custom/OEM deals.

Are there any other resellers authorized to resell AMS?

Veriskope may authorize additional resellers of AMS. Please contact Veriskope if you would like to set up a reseller relationship or see what additional resellers have been authorized to supply you with AMS.

Can I purchase hosted/cloud instances of AMS (e.g., from Amazon and other ISPs/PaaS providers?)

Will AMS continue to be supported by Veriskope?
